What skin type do you have?

Different products are made for different skin types. Everyone reacts differently so it may take some experimentation to find what suits you best. However, if we can narrow your skin type down, we can take an educated guess on what will and won't work.

Shine / Pores / Pimples

Cleanse your skin and then wait for an hour or two to let your skin get back to its natural state. If you have a sheen to your skin it is likely you have oily skin. Often you will have larger pores as well and you can be prone to pimples.

For Oily skin, some great products are, the Etude house Pore scrubs, the Acne (AC) collection from CosRX and the moderate moisture serums like the one from Pyungkang Yul. Avoid heavier, oilier moisturisers and super hydrating ampoules.

Flaky / Dull

After cleansing, does you skin become flaky? Does it feel dry and dull? You might have dry skin. Often people with dry skin will have smaller pores and need more moisture for their skin to glow.

For dry skin, concentrate on putting more moisture into your routine with products such as the nutritional cream or the facial oil by Pyunkang Yul. If you skin is especially dry, you may want to try a stronger hyaluronic acid essence/ampoule that will help keep your skin moisturised. Take a look at the CosRX Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Eseence.
Combination Skin

Combination skin
Oil / Dry / Normal

Are some parts of your face oily, while other parts dry? Maybe you've got normal skin everywhere but the dreaded T-zone. You likely have combination skin.

For combination skin try to find items that will help balance your skin out. You'll need to get rid of the oils on the oily areas but still retain the moisture on the other parts. Try Son&Park Beauty water or the Pyungkan Yul Balancing Gel.
Normal Skin

Normal Skin

Is your skin not too oily, not too dry and even all over? Then you are #blessed with the perfect skin type that everyone wants.

Taking care of normal skin is still important. Pick middle of the range products that aren't too harsh and don't lean towards oily or dry skin. Don't go for intense moisture or intensive sebum reduction.
